The Guild are fortunate to have a number of blacksmithing books which we can make available to our members.

These books are currently on permanent loan to Plumpton College Library in West Sussex www.plumpton.ac.uk. The books can be made available to members at the library on application to:

Our collection sits alongside another large collection donated by the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths which probably makes this the largest assemblage of such books in Britain.
The three rarest and most expensive titles have been digitally scanned*. Copies of these can be obtained by Guild members on request provided that copyright and other legal requirements are strictly adhered to.
