Annual General Meeting 2017
Note the change of date from the original scheduled AGM on 24th June to the new date of 28th October
The Standerwick centre will be open from 10.30am if you wish to purchase tea/coffee from the bar.
The AGM will commence at 11 am.
This year the Master and half the committee will be standing for re-election and we hope that some members will volunteer to join the committee. For the Guild to move forward it needs active participation by its members and new volunteers on the committee to inject fresh ideas.
There are also decisions to be made for the 50 year celebrations next year so we hope as many members as possible will attend.
The AGM is of course free, the only charge is for the lunch and entertainment afterwards, we hope you will stay for both.
The AGM will be followed by a 4 course lunch at 1-1:30m.
Our Guests of Honour are:
Richard Reagan – Prime Warden of the WCB – accompanied by his wife – To be confirmed due to health issues
Hugh Adams CWCB – Past Prime Warden of the WCB – accompanied by his wife Sylvie
We are delighted to announce that following the meal a talk with visuals will be given by Terry Clark about the Ypres cenotaph project last year. The cenotaph was designed by Terry at the request of the Belgian Blacksmiths Association and he dedicated an enormous amount of time to the project over several years until its final completion and erection at the Langemark Cemetry last November.
Following Terry’s talk we will be entertained by ‘The Rusty Wizzard”.
The cost of the lunch is £26 per person for members, £34 for non-members
